Member Profile - Display part date of birth
I would like to see year of birth accepted without the day and month. Others would prefer day and month.

Birthdate year only
Hi
1. The birth date is not a required field on your profile page.
2. When you enter a birth date it is translated automatically by the forum software to a system number to enable date calculations and comparisons, like in the feature "members who have a birthday today" on the forum board.
So any date entered with missing date or month is regarded as date empty field.
3. You may use one of the other free form fields to enter such data as your birth year.

OK, how about allowing Null or 0 as birth day and/or month?

Re: Member Profile - Display part date of birth
I understand you would like a stand alone YEAR field.
We do not have such a field at this time.
Null or 0 as birth day and/or month can not be translated into a valid date unambiguous format allowing the software to do comparisons and calculations on dates.
The date field in this forum is not a free format field.
It is a standard unambiguous format date field, following the
ISO Standard 8601 - "Representation of Dates and Times".
0.0.1950 is not a valid date format, and can not be compared against a calendar date.
